About Kate

Kate Kelly is Idaho's District 18 State Senator, a Democrat, a moderate, a respected professional, and a long time contributor to the south Boise community.

Kate Kelly is

A 22-year resident of District 18.

A mother of three sons, two enrolled in Boise public schools and the other a college student.

A graduate of the University of Idaho College of Mines, the University of Utah College of Law, Boise State University’s Program for Management Development, and the Program for Emerging Political Leaders at the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.

  

   
 
  Kate’s experience includes
Working with government leaders, businesses and citizens to ensure protection of our clean air and water, natural areas, and a safe and healthy community.
Managing a large staff and budget for five years at the Department of Environmental Quality.
Serving six years as a Deputy Attorney General.

Working four years with Boise Cascade’s operations throughout the nation.
